JRS Detailing is a family shop run by Junior Juan Singson. Over 20 years in kitchens taught him to work clean, work careful and never send out a plate he isn't proud of. He brings that to every vehicle.
In Junior's words
Hi guys.
Opportunity knocks once in your life, so grab it.
My name is Junior Juan Singson. Some people call me Kuya Jung. I'm originally from the Philippines.
I'm a chef by profession. I started at 18 as a busboy and a janitor at the same time. Six months later I got promoted to kitchen helper. To be honest, at first I didn't like it. But I needed the work, so I kept going.
After three restaurants, I got my first hotel job as a commis 3, a cook 3. From there I applied at bigger hotels, and got hired at one of the famous 5-star hotels in the world. I worked there 4 years, then moved to another 5-star hotel back home.
One day a coworker asked if I wanted to work abroad. I asked where. She said Canada. I had never worked outside my country, so I applied. In September 2011 I landed at Vancouver International Airport to cook at one of the biggest bar and restaurants in Canada.
I worked there almost 9 years. Then Covid came. Businesses went down and my boss sold the restaurant. We were all sad. He told us, "We love you guys. You're our family. Without you, we wouldn't be here." But we all had families to feed, so we kept working.
A few months later my old boss called and asked if I wanted to work with him again, as a detailer. I had never heard of that job. It was totally different from cooking, so I wasn't sure. A month later he called again. He said just try it, and if you don't like it, you can quit.
So I tried it, and I loved it. No stress, no yelling, no screaming, no rush like the kitchen. And the exciting part is the look on a customer's face after you detail their vehicle.
I always dreamed of having my own restaurant one day. Here I am, opening my very own detailing company instead. Whatever makes you happy, go ahead and make it happen.

The dealership standard
At a dealership, a detail isn't done until it's ready for someone picking up their new truck.
That's the bar Junior learned on. It's the bar he holds every vehicle to, whether it rolled off the lot last week or 30 years ago.

Junior detailed at a dealership, where every vehicle goes home with a new owner. Streaks, missed jambs, dust in the vents: none of it is allowed out the door.

A family business
Kuya means
big brother.
In Filipino, kuya is what you call your big brother. It's also what you call someone older you trust, the one who looks out for you.
That's the kind of detailer we want to be for your family. Someone you hand the keys to without worrying. Someone you call again next spring, and the spring after that.
We're not after one-time jobs. People come for a clean vehicle. We hope they stay as friends.
